Aikido is a martial art; hence, certain traditions and principles must be understood and observed at all times. The martial art has techniques that involve danger and unpredictability and can cause severe and permanent injuries, including death.

By clicking agree, you hereby recognize and agree that:

  • You acknowledge that the practice of Aikido could cause severe injuries to myself or another person, which restrict movement or lead to partial or permanent paralysis, quadriplegia, or even injury leading to death.
  • You agree to carefully follow the Aikiway Dojo training instructions and rules for etiquette and safety at all times during the practice.
  • You are not required to perform any techniques or practice in any situation that you may consider to be unsafe; in this case, you agree to notify us immediately of any concerns.
  • You agree that you don’t have any illness, disability, or injury that could place you or another person at risk of injury during training.

Moreover, you acknowledge and agree that you are participating in Aikido practice freely and voluntarily, and you understand that there is an element of danger and unpredictability.

You agree to hold instructors, members, and Aikiway Dojo free from any liability, either tortious or contraction, and to them for any loss of property or injury to yourself and any person caused by the practice of Aikido no matter how indemnify caused.
